Team Building Activities for the Workplace a Boss Will Love

Team Building Activities

There are all kinds of places that team building can take you. While being the boss does afford you some luxuries it does not give you the option to settle. A boss should not only be looking for ways to motivate the staff, but should use these same ideas on themselves. Team building activities that the boss will love can have a huge range, depending on what kind of boss it is, and what kind of activities are needed within the company. Creating team building activities for the workplace that are highly based on the needs of the boss can be a fun way for staff to bond.

The boss, no matter who they are or where they are from, could use team building as much as any other person in the room, if not more. The boss is meant to encourage others and stay on task, which is why the following team building activities were created with a boss in mind.

Let's String Along: This is a great game for the boss to play; it will show them that they need the team as much as the team needs them. The first person is given a string and are told to give it to one person they depend on in the workplace. Once this is done that person is told to give the string to someone they depend on, and so on. At the end it will be clear that everyone at the workplace depends on someone for something. Being a string team includes team work, and that will be shown here. The string game can also be used to show that the staff is one, and has a common bond with one another.

Name games: Bosses will love to get to know the team members better. As working in the office may not allow the time to do so. Games referring to names and personal interests are always great to do with the boss. Names are a great way for a boss to personalize the bond they have with staff; without knowing the names of staff members the boss may look, aloof or stand offish.

Outdoor games: See the boss in a fun and objective way. Being in the outdoors where everyone is equal can help you and the boss relate. Most bosses do not have enough free time to enjoy the outdoors, so this is something a boss will love it do as well. These games can include capture the flag, GPS tag and adventure games.

The boss is as much part of the team as anyone else; this makes it important for the boss to be included in all events and games. It also lets the staff know, the boss and management team are willing to spend time with them, and create bonds that will in return create a better place to work.
